Dan Kouba and the Journeymen Music Group

Welcome to Dan Kouba and the Journeymen
Dan Kouba and The Journeymen have only been together for a few years and have already have made a name for themselves, featuring the song writing of Dan Kouba.

Kouba a few years back having serious heart problems, had to endure open heart surgery. Ultimately, Kouba’s surgeon recommended that he alter his fast-paced life in order for the surgery to have a lasting effect on his life. Taking heed of his surgeons’ recommendation, Dan turned to music, taking guitar and vocal lessons, finding a gift of poetic composition that led to him to song writing. Dan soon took to the studio, recording the CD “Open Heart". The recording included 6 of Dan's original songs. Later, a final CD was cut featuring those original works and the cover songs: Gotta Serve Somebody, House of the Rising Sun, Today, Wagon Wheel, and My Old Man. Eventually, the songs Open Heart, Ode to a Rabbit, Yellow Table, Thank You Mom, Church Lady, and his latest, Yes, I Can, from the bands “Open Heart” CD would get local airplay. Although the band’s focus is on original works, they cover tunes over a variety of genres.

Brecklynns Song - Free MP3
The theme of this song relates to our country’s dire need for CONGRESSIONAL TERM LIMITS. This is not a Right or Left issue, this is an American Issue.
After listening to the only Vice Presidential Debate on Wednesday October 7, 2020, I was struck with the profound insight of this 8th grader, Brecklynn.
In her essay that became the final debate question, Brecklynn wrote, in part, "When I watch the news, all I see is arguing between Democrats and Republicans. When I watch the news, all I see is citizen fighting against citizen. When I watch the news, all I see are two candidates from opposing parties trying to tear each other down. If our leaders can’t get along, how are the citizens supposed to get along?" "How is your presidency going to unite and heal our country?" she asked the candidates.
Treat others as you would want to be treated. Love your neighbor as yourself.
